How to be classy without being rich

As always she quietly enters the room and smiles her genuine smile. All that see her enjoy how her presence brightly lights up the room. She has a air about her but a quiet attitude. She is late today for this scheduled lunch with her friends. She dropped off a cake for the bake sale at school. But nevertheless, you will see by the smile on their faces how happy everyone is to see her.

She always seems happy. But friends that are close to her know, she has overcome some grief in her life and is as challenged as everyone else. However. it never shows. She has made careful choices in her personal life and has always been considerate and caring. Her family comes first and then her friends. Its sometimes hard for her to say no. People can depend on her and it always shows. She volunteers at the food pantry and collects clothing for the poor. This is something only a very few friends know.

As she arrives at the table you cannot help notice how nicely she is dressed. In a bright but not garish color. As she places her small bag on the table, her well groomed hands come into view. Her nails are well manicured with the palest of shades. If you were to look down at her toes peaking out of her sandals you will see, they too are matching in the palest of shades. The scent that surrounds her is that of her soap and her neatly styled hair always shines with only a wisp of hair that escapes her.

She always speaks softly but this is because most of the time see she is listening intently as other people speak. She will never interrupt that is just not in her style. She will share all she wants to and then, she will tell you that there will always be plenty of time for the fun and the laughs. Its one of her favorite things.

After reviewing the menu and making a careful selection, she shares with her friends the details of her day. About the pleasure and the work of her very small garden. They laugh together remembering many things they have shared together. Reminding them of the strong circle of friends that they are.

She is the first to be served and her impeccable manners show, as she patiently waits for everyone else to get served before beginning to eat. She attentively listens, catching up with the lives of each and every friend. Then only the crunching celery can be heard. She makes a toast to one other it is always part of their day.

Not too long into lunch her cell phone vibrates, she then excuses herself and goes to a quiet area of the restaurant to take her call. It must be someone important or she would not have taken the call at all.

When she returns to the table she explains to her friends that she may be the first one to leave today. She will be picking up her children at dance class. Then she continues to tell them of the special dinner she making for her family tonight.
As she stands to leave, she with her smile gently embraces each one. And as she departs you cannot help but notice the lingering warmth she has left in this circle of friends.
When ever people ask about her, no matter where she goes, they will always say she is one of the classiest people they know.
