It isn't just Muslim extremism, although Muslim zealots are at the center of it. Call it what it actually is: indiscriminate and senseless murder under the excuse of religion. Of course it has damaged tourism. That is one of the aims of the suicidal Muslim criminals who first started hijacking and blowing up airplanes more than 30 years ago.
Still today, in their twisted minds, they have both a primitive hatred for all forms of freedom and progress, plus their blindly insane need to force their murderous religious beliefs on the rest of the world. Of course, they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams in disrupting tourism.
Flying anywhere in the world is a nightmare for tourists. Besides the continuing violence in the Middle East and frequent terror bombings elsewhere, whenever anyone boards an airplane, there is always the memory of September 11, 2001. No one can ever forget when the suicidal maniacs destroyed the lives of thousands of innocent people by their atrocities in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.
There are many countries that once had flourishing tourism, but because of extremist prejudice and continued violence, the industry has collapsed, along with all the economic losses involved. Israel is the most extreme example of that deliberate Muslim campaign of destruction, but now because of continuing and threatened violence, France, England and Egypt are seeing fewer and fewer tourists.
Whether the Muslim violence has damaged tourism irrevocably, only history will tell. However, every time any tourists in every airport of the world must go through airport security, they know who is causing their inconveniences and the fears, and can only wonder if they'll be the next victim of the Muslim murderers.
