Assessing the health concerns about nonstick cookware

They say that we should not be eating out of Teflon and some other non stick cookware. I don't know about you but I personally have been eating out of Teflon cookware for nearly 30 years. If there is a problem with it then why are they still making and selling it. Is it because there isn't enough concrete evidence to support the health risks that some say it has, or is it because some of the side effects that may be occurring are taking so long to rear their ugly head.

I can understand that the heavy metal would take years and years to build up in your body but there is also quite a large number of heavy minerals in our food and drinking water that is also said to build up in our body. I must admit though, I now do not buy nonstick cookware with Teflon coating. Instead I spend more money and invest in peace of mind. This will not stop me from using old cookware which is probably the most hazardous as the Teflon coating is peeling off.

Like using the microwave, or microwaving plastic food containers or gladwrapp with our food, I worry about the kids growing up these days. Where there is less organic produce, microwaves, genetically modified produce, artificial colors and flavors and ready to eat just about anything with an assortment of preservatives ,are our kids going to be suffering with cancers and generic diseases?

If poeple are concerned then maybe there is something to be concerned about.
