What a stupid question.
Christianity survived for several hundred years, during which they were persecuted by the strongest Government on earth, the Roman Empire, without a settled collective religious text. After that, they survived, and, more accurately, expanded to be the dominant religion of Europe over the next few centuries until the Bible was set in stone with the King James version.
In this context, one has to keep in mind that it is not the existence of a religious text, but the person to person exchange of religious ideas that powers a supernaturally based movement. It could easily be argued that the existence of a standard religious text may actually hold back the progress of any given cult, without the use force. Both the history of Catholicism and Islam, serve as examples of this principle.
As to a 600 word minimum, I can only ask why? If an answer gives a satisfactory resolution in 10 words, a compared to one that requires a thousand, can it honestly be considered less useful? I think not! Better, I would say, make the limit six hundred and sixty six words, so we can know at a glance that this is the Devil's work! Oh, wait, that was 600 characters, not words. My bad. Still, and I must beg your pardon for not staying in touch, I must say that any limit on the length of an article is silly. Really, if the best response is "yes" or "no" then what is to be gained from any following words?
Of course, the main reason for my continued rambling is that, there doesn't seem to be a word counter keeping tract, and I wouldn't want to fall below the limit :)
Good luck, and good God.
