When choosing flowers for your summer wedding go with the obvious choice of tropical flowers, especially if you are having an outdoor ceremony! Tropicals grow in the hottest and most humid regions so no amount of heat is going to bother them at all. Some great choices from the tropical sector of cut flowers are:
Orchids, Birds of Paradise, Ginger, Heliconia, Calla Lilies, and Anthurium (which is heart shaped so it's perfect for a wedding!)
If you would rather not go the tropical route just make sure that you choose flowers that can handle the heat such as:
Alstromeria lilies, daisies, carnations, sunflowers and lilies. Roses can also be a good choice if handled properly but will "blow open" if exposed to high temperatures for a long period of time.
Whatever you choose, just make sure to not sweat the small stuff and enjoy your day with your new husband!
Enjoy each beautiful bloom!
