I hope you can see by this why the Lord said so many times "Fear thou not, for I am with thee."

Fear is one of the primary weapons of the devil to destroy people. It rarely kills people directly but is an instrument of disease, which accomplishes his desires.

Many times God is interested in our sanctification before we can receive our healing. When He has not operated via the gifts of the Spirit, laying on of hands or anointing with oil then sanctification is in order. It is best to address the spiritual roots before seeking prayer. Results will be highly likely and faith will be stronger.

There are hindrances to receiving healing and the foremost one is unforgiveness. This plagues more people than anything else. How many have been offended, had someone hit our hot button, been cheated, slandered, ripped off, abused, taken advantage of or had a bad day because of what someone else did to or against us? Had anything like this happen recently? How did you respond? Is there still anything there when you think of a certain person? Does an alarm go off inside? Do you get feelings of revenge, bitterness, resentment or the like? If you do, then you are in danger. Your health is in danger. There is an open door to the enemy and he will bring his diseases your way if you don't quickly close the door.
