Unforgiveness is the foremost hindrance to HEALING POWER being manifest. It is the chief block to healing and one of the big reasons many who receive prayer do not receive their healing. It is one of the Spiritual Roots of Disease.

Spiritual Roots of Disease

Did you know that 80% of all diseases are psychosomatic and spiritually rooted? There is a connection between sin and disease that the doctors do not understand. As a general rule medical doctors deal with disease management and drugs.

Mankind has disease because we have become separated from God and His Word and have fallen into disobedience to Him.

Here are a few scriptures showing the connection of spiritual roots to disease:

Prov. 1:30 "A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones."

Prov. 17:22 "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth up the bones."
It is medically proven that laughter strengthens the immune system by causing the body to manufacture T Cells and killer cell to take care of the enemy.

Sometimes God heals us by the gifts of the Spirit or by a sovereign move of God, but usually there are conditions to healing. You don't just get it by barging in and making demands or by saying you have it when you don't. The condition is obedience to God. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

Deu 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

It is much like salvation. Christ died on the cross so everyone could be saved. He paid the penalty for all the sins of everyone. But they are not all saved. Neither is everyone healed even though he provided for it by His stripes. It must be appropriated by faith.

Phi 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

You see, what we think and say and do affects our health whether you like it or not. We can't continue in sin and expect blessings to rain down on us.

The spiritual roots of disease are the result of the following three basic things:

1. Separation from God, from His Word, from His fellowship and from His love.
2. Separation from yourself, not accepting your self,
