It is a close call when it comes to the question which is harder, getting ready for a vacation or returning home afterwards? Preparing for a vacation takes time when it comes to these next things listed. Washing and folding to prepare clothes is a task along with shopping for food supplies, cleaning the house so that you do not come home to a mess, making sure all the numbers have been handed out for those who may need to contact you concerning your home and property should something go wrong while you are gone away, getting the car serviced, making sure you have enough medical supplies for the vacation should someone rely on them that is going and all the other things involved so that when you return, there would not be much except washing and folding the clothes you have taken plus washing and cleaning up the car that you did take on that vacation. Getting ready for a vacation is harder than returning home afterwards.
Listed below are preparations to help make things easier upon returning home from a vacation.
1. Do all the laundry, everything you can find to wash before you pack for that vacation.
2. 'Spring' clean (again) from top to bottom and begin with dusting the ceiling fans, walls and ceilings. This regulates the dust particles making it more tolerable than if one had not cleaned before leaving, plus it smells better.
3. Tables should be cleaned and free of crumbs and dust particles when one leaves for a vacation.
4. Vacuum your home before leaving to assure not tiny visitors will use your rug as a feast.
5. Windows are not as important as the others yet should be cleaned before one leaves on that vacation.
6. Clean the bathrooms and the other rooms in the house well before leaving for a vacation.
7. Cut the grass or lawn a day or so prior to leaving.
8. Make sure that you have gotten rid of any trash bags or cans before leaving for that vacation.
9. Empty the dishwasher until no dishes are inside and clean any dishes that are outside of the dishwasher. Put those dishes away before leaving for that vacation.
If a person tries five of these options, they may find that it would be a bit easier than it had been in the past. It all truly depends on which path to take. It is almost like saying 'are we going to work before leaving or leave it all behind to come home to'.
The debate continues, 'which is harder, getting ready for a vacation or returning home afterwards?' If the meaning to this question reflects a packing issue, I would have to always say that it is easier coming home from a vacation since I stick to the list above before leaving.
