Somethings at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay can not be considered torture. Using Sleep Deprivation and barking dogs are not torture. Now things that can be considered torture is obviously physical abuse to the the person who is being detained. Of course we have the Geneva convention to follow, while we are trying to interrogate terrorists or anyone else. let's say a Polish soldier is captured by members of a organization in Iraq, do you think he would not be tortured? how many times would he be beaten with the butt of a rifle or what other things they could do to him, such as removal of finger nails and toe nails. Being introduced to electrical shock, possibly being burned. What a terrorist which is whom is being currently faced in Iraq and Afghanistan can do to someone is unlimited. But yet we can't allow dogs to bark or allow someone to lose some sleep? I have a feeling that the polish soldier would be getting tortured more then the person being exposed to barking dogs.
