As the mother and teacher of two, I do believe that home studies is a better way to go. The public school has ventured so far left (in my opinion) that obtaining a solid education is difficult. Do not get me wrong there are students who succeed in spite of the school system. The distractions are so vast and varied that it has to be difficult to concentrate on the issue at hand-education. School is not just for book learning. I believe that education in the home is far more relelent than just studies. By studing at home a child learns to socialize with different age groups. He learns to resolve problems and to think for himself. There are no peer pressures and the threat of violence is absent. Our children are not learning but growing in the knowledge that they are valuable members of society who are willing and able to make a difference in this country.
