On the whole, no, I don't think it's healthy to find people you've lost touch with - largely because there were probably very good reasons why you lost touch in the first place!
Memory is notoriously unreliable, and becomes more so with the passage of time. You may think of someone you knew at school with fondness, but did you deliberately suppress memories of their less than wholesome characteristics? And do you dare to assume they remember you with the same affection?
Also, I think that it's wiser to leave the past in the past - you've moved on, you're not the same person you were back then, and, for the vast majority of us, that's a good thing. I certainly wouldn't wish to revert to the obnoxious, self-centred teenager I know myself to have been! (And if you think you weren't, don't kid yourself. Teens are obnoxious & self-centred.)
And finally, leaving aside the unwisdom of dredging up the past, are you aware of how many perverts and identity thiefs there are who spend their lives trawling such sites? Identity theft in particular is a big danger, if someone has open access to your entire friendship network. Don't give them the chance.
Well, that's my point of view. It's been interesting reading yours.
