This song give us a glimpse of baseball culture for it always gave life to any baseball game.
'Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack,
I don't care if I never get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, your out,
At the old ball game.'
Baseball culture was based and originated in the fields of past times where one day it was stick ball and transformed to baseball. In those times, the ball players used no cleats, no helmets and had a huge lack of umpires. For kids in the old days, they had so much less to chose from than we have today. It was a clean way to spend the day with lots of exercise. Baseball started clean and in time it may have gotten dirty. I remember watching Billy Martin dig his cleat in the ground to make his stance. They were the old days and a part of the game. Baseball culture never consisted of steroids in the 30s like it has occurred in the recent past. It did not tarnish the game of baseball, it only tarnished a few players reputations and their future. As for the movie called 'Field of Dreams' with Kevin Costner, it is a well designed film to depict how baseball history has had an effect on some of us. Watch the film if you like the old time players that were simply lost in time. For someone to say it's all about drunks and unhealthy measures would be the person that has simply had a bad experience. Baseball and softball has been in the generations of my own family tree and I would have to say that the baseball culture was the first real true blue American paste time that has given Americans many happiness and offered the dreams of competition as a team and is one of the base sports America produced.

As the little old lady watched in wonder while the Christmas decoration flew across the sky like a shot of fireworks, she looked at Clarke and the family and shouted these words, 'Play Ball!'
An American dream and an American team sparked the culture of baseball long before nine innings were created. May the games continue and the culture remain alive in each and every American as they 'Play Ball!'
