My loss of innocence came at a premature age. It's hard to stay innocent in such a grown up environment. How to keep your innocence when you go to sleep at the sounds of your mother drinking herself into a stupor with the company of her newest deadbeat boyfriend. It's hard to define the term innocence. I've been stripped of any form of it anyway. I have to admit, some has been self inflicted. Thinking back on it, can someone take innocence without your permission? Maybe it's your own decision to be tainted. In society today, it's hard to find someone who has keep their innocence over the years. Is society to blame or is it ourselves? There's so many questions surrounding the area of innocence. When did we stray from the times of innocence and fall into such a tainted era. Violence, rape and even cheating are a few of many ways to lose innocence. Damning events can go a long way in taking one's innocence. But to determine the loss of innocence, we truly need to decide on what makes one innocent?
