Zack Randolph coming to the New York Knicks was a very wise decision for the Knicks organization. It really provides them with the consistent scorer they needed, especially in the post-up part of it. Bringing a guy who averaged 23.6 points and 10.1 rebounds last year is definitely not a bad decision. He will allow the pressure to be off of Eddy Curry, who is developing as a player, and his presence will help the other scorers like Jamal Crawford be more productive. On top of all that, Steve Francis was not a big loss, considering he can become a free agent next year, is long past his prime, and took up 34 million dollars! Also, they already have two decent guards in Stephon Marbury and Jamal Crawford, so why keep Francis around, when you could get Randolph? With this move, the Knicks could be a contender in their division, which is home to only one team over .500 last year, and a whole lot of other teams rebuilding their rosters. The only threat to the Knicks would be Toronto, and now with a scoring presence other than Curry and Crawford, the Knicks have a good chance of making the playoffs. Remember they are in the EAST!
