How to Make Iced Coffee

It's 7 am and it's already too hot to think, much less brew some hot coffee. But you NEED your caffeine. It's time to cool your coffee cravings with cold caffeine.

A little preparation will go a long way. When the temperatures start to cool at night, brew your hot coffee by making 1/2 your normal pot, but using the same amount of grounds. For example, if you normally make 8 brewed cups, add 8 cups worth of grounds, but only add 4 cups of water. You'll need to make the coffee stronger to make up for the melting ice and additional creamer. Let the freshly brewed coffee cool to room temperature, then move into the refrigerator until morning (or until your coffee cravings can take no more!) Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, coffee, creamer, and sweetener/sugar to taste. Even if you drink your coffee black, adding creamer and sweetener to iced coffee creates a caffeine blend that mixes perfectly with a hot sunny day.

Stir with a straw and enjoy!

CRAZY COOL CAFFEINE TIPS
*Make coffee ice cubes, or even milk/cream ice cubes in your regular ice cube tray! As the "ice" melts, your coffee keeps its original flavor and doesn't become diluted by regular water cubes.
*Use milk or liquid creamer anytime, but don't use powdered creamers unless hot - the powder NEVER dissolves completely (especially after adding ice), and you're left with a filmy powder on top.

MMMM....ADDED TOUCHES
*Add hot chocolate powder while hot, or cold Hershey's Syrup / chocolate ice cream for an Iced Mocha.
*Use flavored ice creams to add a hint of delicious to your coffee - try mint chocolate chip, espresso/coffee, or even chocolate fudge ice cream. Those of you who are watching your waist lines can even use frozen yogurt.
*Add whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg for a special treat
*Can't get enough ice? Make a coffee Icee! Fill Blender half way with ice. Add cold coffee, sweetener, and milk / creamer to taste. Blend to icey perfection and serve immediately.
