What is NASDAQ?

NASDAQ is a US stock market.It is comprised of several different US companies - GOOGLE,AMAZON,YAHOO...etc.It stands for National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations system.It was founded by NASD back in 1971 and now the property of NASDAQ Stock Market,inc.It is the most popular,outstanding,and largest electronic screen-based equity securities market in the US.

According to global investor strategist reports,NASDAQ today's index value is 2,666.51.Some streaming quotes show that it has a weekly measurable value.The 52 week range/position is between 2,089.60 and 2,667.97 and the daily range or position seems to hold the same values - between 2,649.05 and 2,667.97.

Today,the opening value was 2,656.30,which tends to be satisfactory since the previous closing value was 2,656.65.

Amazingly enough,it is showing some exciting growth of 9.86 which equals to 0.37 percent.

Also,trading times are determined as days move on.Every new day means a new trade value.

Finally,among the other composite of NASDAQ,we do have: Scottrade,Fidelity,E*Trade Financial,and Active Traders.
