TASTY BASIC TOMATO SAUCE IN 5 STEPS - REAL ITALIAN RECIPE

Do you dream to cook real Italian recipes?
You have found the right place where to learn to cook them in the right way.
Trust me, I am Italian living in Bologna, I can not wait to share my knowledges about cooking and culture.
Take paper, pen and good will, it is easier than what you think.

INGREDIENTS

1 package of peeled tomatoes (total weight 400 gr, 240 gr if already dripped),

1/2 clove of garlic,
2 little spoons of extra-virgin olive oil,
2 or 3 handfuls of salt,
fresh-grinded pepper.

PREPARATION

1. Shell a half clove of garlic and cut it in little pieces;

2. Put 2 little spoons of extra-virgin olive oil into a little pot, increase a bit the flame of the stove and when it fry put the pieces of garlic in the pot, make the garlic brown;

3. Leave the pot from the stove, open the package of peeled tomatoes, suddenly put them into a grinder and mince them;

4. Put again the pot onto the stove, turn the flame low and put 2 or 3 handfuls of salt and some fresh-grinded pepper into the pot, then mix well the ingredients;

5. Leave the sauce cooking onto the stove, always with low flame and with opened potlid. Sometimes mix the ingredients and turn off the flame when the sauce becomes dry.

SUGGESTIONS FOR BETTER RESULTS

- to have a good taste, never use the ready sauce of tomatoes, just use the peeled tomatoes;

- to have a good taste, use the extra-virgin olive oil, also because it is fatless than the other kinds of oil;

- if you don't have the grinder, cut the tomatoes with a knife in little cubes and put them directly into the oil with garlic;

- be careful that the garlic don't become too brown, you can whiff the smell to know it, when it's too late the garlic has a roasted smell;

- for a stronger taste put some fresh-grinded hot pepper and some washed and dried basilic leaves, but don't use the small leaves because they're carcinogenic!

- remember that this is the basic tomato sauce, so it means you can add the ingredients you want, such as mushrooms or other vegetables, clams or other fish, wurstels or other meat and so on, it is up to you, just be creative.
