There are many advantages to having more than one source of income. The most obvious one I would think is more money. This is always a good thing considering everything costs so much nowadays. For instance we have four children so we need a house with a min of three bedrooms. The rent for these houses start at around $650 a month. With one income paying rent like that is not possible. Unless you have a super great job which the average american does not. So you have the advantage of being able to afford a place to live. There is also the fact that you will be able to save money for nice things you want and it won't take you 20 years to get them. There will usually always be money around for emergency expenses unless of course you are really bad with money. But I believe the main advantage of having two or more incomes is your stress levels will be low because you and your spouse will not be fighting over money all the time. So the next time you have to run to wal-mart at 2 a.m. to pick up a gallon of milk and groceries you forgot when you were shopping and simply must have. Know that the biggest advantage of having extra income is that you have the money to pay for these things and the gas in the car as well.
