Red Velvet Cake made Simple
Do you love this Traditional Southern favorite but just don't have the time or the patience to make this wonderful cake? Well here is a recipe with 6 ingredients that make this cake simple to make! Aren't familiar with Red Velvet Cake? It is a Beautiful Chocolate Cake that is a Bright Red!
1 Box of German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 Box Chocolate Pudding
1 oz bottle of red food coloring
3 eggs
1-1/4 cups of water
cup of vegetable oil
1. Pre-heat oven to 350F (325F for dark or non stick pans). Trace and Cut out size of cake pan on wax paper and place in cake pan. Grease the bottom and the sides of two 9-inch round cake pans or 13x9-inch cake pan and lightly flour the bottoms and sides, or spray with flour baking spray.
2. In a large bowl, mix all cake ingredients together with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping sides of the bowl occasionally. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes, occasionally scraping the sides of the bowl. Pour into pans.
3. Bake as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan or 9-inch rounds. Cool completely on cooling racks.
Now for this cake Buttercream is one of the best matches with this beautiful cake but any frosting will do wonderfully with it!
