The Unexpected Guest

Have you ever had and unexpected guest
Where you close your eyes and hope for the best
When all of the while they're driving you crazy
You have to tend to them, when all you want is to be lazy

Where you look at the clock waiting for them to leave
They're so in your life, you feel like you can't breathe
No matter what you do they wont go away
You try and say everything, but they continue to stay

Then your spouse gets home, and you think he'l know something to do
Until he gives you that look, saying they want help from you
So you try the "well I'm headed to bed"
But your guest pretends like they haven't heard a word you said

Before you know it, it's the middle of the night
And you don't kick them out because you don't want the fight
You wake up in the morning and your guest is still there
Then you're screaming to your spouse you want them out of your hair

Your guest caused a fight between the two of you
But neither one of you, knows what to do
Then when you're screaming and yelling, I can't take no more
You finally see them head for the door

Only to find them back the next day
Finding yourself again in the same old way
So you start turning off your lights, pretending your not home
In hopes your guest will find somewhere else to roam.
