To start a Christian music ministry is an admirable task, and should begin with a list of your priorities, to achieve success in this important undertaking.
Fist of all, since this will be a ministry through your music, remember the message God's telling you to convey and minister to people, should be at the top of your list.
Second, organize all your music to select the particular music or songs you will be using when you are evangelizing.
Plan ahead, to have enough music and songs selected for different occasions and encounters with people that are targeted for your ministry.
Prepare to make copies of the music and lyrics you have chosen for your Christian music ministry, if you plan to have audience participation.
Third, focus on who, and where you will be preaching to, through your music.
Try and make as many contacts as possible, for all different organizations that you'd like to share and minister your music, as well as, by calling churches and Christian organizations, where you can set up a time to play your music.
If you feel you are ready to pursue your Christian music ministry in a more professional manner, contact a local recording studio to see about possibly recording some of your music to promote your ministry further. There are Christian studios available that probably would be willing to listen to a demo of your music.
Finally, prepare an agenda of everything you will need to achieve a successful music ministry, starting from your immediate goals in your ministry, to future achievements of people you have come in contact with.
If you need help financially, for example, with music equipment, there are some churches that will also help you obtain money to further your ministry, in the form of free will offerings or donations.
Probably, the most important thing to remember is to be well prepared. Since this is a ministry through your music, you will need to practice your music or voice fervently, to connect with and inspire all the people that you would like to reach.
Starting a music ministry may not always be easy at times, but with confidence in your beliefs and talent with your music, the end result hopefully will be a positive one!
