Anyone who thinks the premiership has more to offer then football league is not a Real football fan!

Yes the premiership has higher attendances and yes they have the bigger players and yes it is followed more then any football league!

What more do you want Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, Michael Ballack and Fernando Torres?

But how many of them play for the national side the ENGLISH national side?

The English national side is suffering because of the premiership for two reasons
1. The English management team very very, very rarely pick a player outside of the top premiership teams to play for the national side
2. Premiership fans would rather see a flamboyant foreigner playing who spends more time on his ass then playing football

The Football Association decided something needed to be done so Grass Roots football was introduced to the English game with clubs seeking English youngsters to strengthen there teams.

The football league does this week in week they don't have the money to send there scouts to France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Brazil or any of the top footballing countries.

Instead they go to schoolboy football tournaments and local football, I am a die hard Torquay United fan we don't have the money that a lot of clubs have so we rely on home-grown talent as a lot of football league teams do!

Only last season Torquay signed a goalkeeper who is already attracting a lot of attention from major championship teams and yes you guessed it we found him playing in the local park for his Sunday team oh and he is only 19!

So why do Premiership teams not have the ability to do this, is it because they think they are to big a club to do this, The last team to have a string of young players were Manchester United back in the nineties David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and look at what Man Utd achieved in the domestic game they all played for England and all made there debuts in the first two seasons of the premiership when English teams went locally rather then European!

So anyone who prefers Premiership football to the football league is not a real football fan.

Spend 20 30 million on one player or here is an idea go to your local park and get some homegrown talent.

It would be ridiculous to argue that the Championship and Leagues One and Two have more to offer soccer fans than the Premiership.
