Should children be allowed to shoot off fireworks?

It depends on how much you love them! Lets face it children never, ever consider the consequences of their actions! Remember when we were young? We were indestructible! What makes any grown adult think that the children of today are any different than when we were young.

Picture it; you're allowing your child to set off fireworks, everything is going fine. The child's eyes are wide with amazement and anticipation of what the next one will be like or where it will go. Your watching, smiling and then it happens.

Your child decides that the rockets are not high enough or the sparks are going off in the wrong direction. In the blink of an eye, they're off. You grab for their arm, but they're just a little bit faster. You scream!You hear their cries!

If you're lucky, you spend the next few months in the hospital nursing them back from 3rd. degree burns! Wondering will they be all right? Why did I let them set the fireworks off? If you're not so lucky, can you live with the decision to let them do it!?
