Mike's Cheesy Pasta with Snow Peas
My fiance Mike also loves to cook. I was professionally trained in a vocational high school and have worked in food service from age 15-18. Mike has just learned as he went and experimented. I remember myself being that way and still try to get back to creating every once in a while. We often argue who is going to cook dinner. I have cooked dinner since I was 12 and my mom was a single mom working third shift in a factory. In my marriage it just became my job as my ex husband was so inept in the kitchen. Anyway, Mike came home with a bag of groceries one night and said he was cooking dinner. There's nothing better than a man that can cook (mine happens to clean too). Here is his YUMMY creation. It will be a regular for us.
1 12oz box whole grain Penney pasta, cooked
1 medium white onion,chopped
1/2 pound snow peas, trimmed and strings removed
1 jar cheese sauce (I used a jarred double cheese sauce)
olive oil for sauteing
salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
Cook pasta according to directions on package. Saute onion in small amount of olive oil until translucent. Add snow peas to onion and cook for 1 min. Add onion and snow pea mixture to pasta. Pour cheese sauce over pasta, add salt and pepper to taste, and toss to coat. Serve with garlic bread and salad if desired.
