It's Just That
It's just that when we kiss
While accidentally meeting in the kitchen
And I rub my hands all over your body
Even though you're fully clothed
I imagine the touch of your skin on my hands
As our mouths engulf one another
And my mind sees us alone on a sun-filled beach,
Nude, panting after one another,
Wanting each other in a primal, desperate way,
But prolonging the actual encounter with teasing
Like our tongues are doing now,
Fanning our raging desire into an inferno
Until no longer able to restrain ourselves
We merge ourselves so deeply into one another
There is only one earth, one heaven and one us,
This kiss.
It's just that when that kiss ends
And you need to go put clothes in the dryer
I'm left semi-breathless as I watch you walk away,
Wanting you back, wanting you in my arms again,
Deep in that kiss, you with me on that beach,
Locked again in that unlockable embrace.

Forbidden Desire
Forbidden desire swells in my breast.
Heart catches fire, though love will protest
For love is not the feeling
Hunger
Gives flavor to many things
A necessary ingredient of survival
A spawning ground of fantasies
Adding spice and colors
Embers turned yet again to fire
Burning brightly
Growing ever higher
Your continued absence
Drives me
Taunts and teases
Whets
