Memoirs: Dreams

by Melinda Mcmillan

Created on: July 04, 2007

The world is spinning uncontrollable. Distant cries of voices in need. Darkness covers my body like a blanket. I try to gain control of my body. I want to stop swaying back and forth. Focus... that is all that I have to do.
I hear the crying of a woman, "why my boy?". Bodies of the old and young, scatter the land and water. Family and friends slowly moving throw the dead bodies, trying to find their loved ones. Hoping that it is the person beside them and not them to find the loved one. Though knowing that they are the other person.
Standing there I could not move. I try to call out to a friend of mine. She does not respond to me. I jog over to where she is standing. Tears rolling down her face and she falls to the ground. I look at the body that she is turning over. That is when I realized in horror...I am dead!
