Which country would you consider to be the best to live in and why?

Many people will be surprised that even though I have travelled through New Zealand I would not ever want to live there. Don't get me wrong it's a stunningly beautiful country, with a high standard of living. It's just its very like England. We have the same shops, clothes, music, magazines, sports and television shows so why would I want to leave my family and friends to move there (even if it has a lower crime rate)?

No as shocking as it may seem my choice is Italy. Having been to Rome, Venice and Verona I was left awestruck by the beauty of both their countryside and cities. This is added to by Italy's incredible history and the display of this heritage throughout the country in the form of art, literature and architecture. Then there are the Italian people who greatly contrast the English reserve as they are always loud, vibrant and friendly even if their driving is a little terrifying (but then doesn't that just add to the fun?) Finally all my favourite foods originated in Italy which would probably result in the expansion of waist but I think it would be worth it.
