How easily obtainable is heaven

by Joe Garmane

Created on: July 03, 2007

There are many different ways people view as to how easily obtainable it will be to get to heaven, but unfortunately only one way is the right way of understanding the truth, and every other way may lead down a path that is wide and well traveled. We as Christians know that the bible holds everything that God wants us to know about the right ways and the wrong ways of life, here on earth. However as it is written, some will twist the truth around to fit their own lifestyles. Not in those exact words, but basically that is what it means. In Revelations Chapter 20 verses 18 and 19 explains, adding to the bible as well as taking away from the bible, better than I can ever explain it.In this day and age,as it was in the days of Noah, has got to be one of the most trying times in all of history, for a christian and the welfare of their soul. There are many ways that Satan Twist's the truth,to make Christians believe that no matter how we live,if we believe in God,we are entitled to life after death.I believe this is the reason why hell has such a wide road and heaven has such a narrow one.All the warnings that God gives us,yet we decide to twist the words around and to live life the way we want live it.How can we as Christians know what heaven is going to be like,if we continue to do sinful things and believe that since we asked God into our hearts, that we will be exempt from hell.We know what the bible tells us and deep in our hearts, the Holy Spirit convicts us,yet we reason with what we do and we twist around what we know to be the truth. When the thief asked Jesus to forgive him and Jesus told him that today he would be with him in paradise, the thief had it in his heart that he knew he had done wrong and his heart was pure once again and without sin, however if this thief was to have been set free and back into the world again,he would more than likely be tempted again and possibly have his heart deviled with sin.Same holds true in this day and age. It's not how we live our live's that get's us into heaven, but what lies in our hearts.
