Crashing waves on the grey beach
The dark sky growls menacingly
I continue to watch whitecaps
Smash into the shore.
Walking I notice there is no one
On the beach
Not a single living soul
For as far as I can see.
Water caresses my feet
Its womblike warmness
Begins to reach my soul
Calling it to merge.
Waves now are licking my knees
The current is strong
It pulls be farther
From the shore
Farther to the place of no return.
I go willingly.
The warmth of the sea is now
Resting against my chest
I feel the arm of the current
Wrap around me
Hugging me closer
To its beating heart.
I am covered by the sea
There is no fear in me.
I am at peace.
