and a cat which is very susceptible to noise! The Miele also moves with smaller floor space thanks to three smooth running castors which don't mark carpets or leave a track and can turn around in a 360 axis; you won't find that on other canisters which have two set wheels at the back regardless of whether they have soft rubber set into them.
From the moment it is turned on, the Miele shows itself to be of premium quality. The universal 2 way floor head has an extra high strength pedal as well as a lock removable centre wheel to clean out whilst gliding is very lightweight thanks to its good design and edge cleaning facilities on both sides of the floor head. The Miele's motor is also well insulated and results in a less billowy and hot burning air from the exhaust. This is more evident from cheaper priced vacuums I've used which have built up a lot of personal sweat!
One of the beauties I adore about this little Miele however is the fact that it is much smaller than previous vacs I have used, so it is extremely easy to pull behind. This means that whilst it has a 6 metre power cord the user manual suggests that all of the cable must be taken out for use instead of some cable and at 6 metres it certainly does make the grade in terms of being pulled along easily via the hose, or carried by its main handle. The total weight of this little Miele is between 5kg and 5.5kg although I feel it could well be lighter. Once the hose is parked in the bottom position at the side of the cleaner and with the tubes compacted back into each other via the telescopic button, the Miele is a very easy cylinder vacuum to carry. Naturally with ease of mind it has a smooth running auto cord rewind function too.
From a flat upholstery tool which seems to strive on picking up pet hair despite the lack of a non roller (thanks to triple lint picker lines), a 360 long bristled upholstery brush which is great at getting into corners thanks to its circular design and a short crevice tool which is slightly noisier in use than the other two tools, the only downside to these tools is that thanks to the S4210's position in the Miele range (let alone any of the models from the S4000 range) this Miele doesn't have a flip down door store which allows tools to be safely hidden away within the machine, but has a clip on slide able tool storer which can clip onto any part of the bottom tube. These tools however can be used on any part of the tube as well as the handle and therefore don't incorporate
