Kalahari
Kalahari
Where tropical fish swim in tropical waters
and moonlight conquers shadows
Late and soon, outside the lines, colors bleed
and flee to the horizon
Under a placid sky, wind, like dust, creeps
across the blazon terrain
At the holy oasis species upon species drink
in mixed metaphor and never understand the
complexity, the nuances of evolution
and yet, as the furnace sears tomorrow's meal
and the crystalline water soothes the wrinkles of the land
while the odor breaks the veil
There are tropical fish continually fluttering among the tropical waters
of the Kalahari

A Larmin
Away down deep beneath the waves
A fish lives with no fear
Not tuna, carp, or halibut
But marlin, so I hear
Their
Rainbow and Sunset
Rainbow is desperately vying
For Sunset's attention.
The rays of color
Show vivid in his fins
As he starts
by Makala Shay
Colorful clowns, and stars galore,
rainbows, and so much more.
The sights you are sure to find,
when fish it is you have in
TWO FISH
I
We wanted to fish only because
my cousin's new house stood on a lake-
the bass there were too small for eating.
