I'm a beach guy. Sun, surf, sand and water all are the best of class. You can do the beach low brow or high class and you get the top drawer. Men and women are happy and a tan is attractive, we're all at our best. The sports are mostly inexpensive, and a modest investment will get you kayaking, surfing, scuba diving or sailing. At the end of the day, you may be tired or raring for nightlife depending on where you are in life. Either way is great, the beach will provide for you today and tomorrow will be just as great.

But ... I live in Phoenix where opportunity has taken me away. I've found that you can get sun and water in the desert and two out of four ain't bad. Sports are good here if you're inclined and they tell us we should be inclined to exercise. People are attractive when they try and the desert brings the spirit out for some. I'm a fan, I must say, after three years.

And my recent vacation was tubing the American River at Sutter's Mill near Sacramento in Northern California with three little kids, my grandkids. They had a nutty time and my daughter was happy too. It was low brow and inexpensive with a cold,cold pool in the campground and non-existent fishing in the river and panning for non-existing gold in the river. I'd do this again in a flash with kids.

It's typical of me to want to have it every way as you can see. I admit that the beach does it best, but the others are ungodly amounts of fun too.
