To anyone that is out there looking for ways to reduce the cost of textbooks, I have the answer for you. Textbooks can be very costly to any college student, especially if you need to buy new ones each year. The costs can add up very quickly.
If you are looking for cheap textbooks, do not buy them at the college bookstore, they will charge you an incredibly high amount for them. For the best results, order your textbooks online. A few good websites for purchasing cheap textbooks include www.cheaptextbooks.com, www.campusbooks4less.com, www.alibris.com, www.halfvalue.com, www.bigwords.com, www.ecampus.com, www.amazon.com, Walmart, and Ebay.
In order to successfully do this, make sure that you get your college schedule as early as possible. It can take a few days or weeks once you order your books to receive them, so you want to order them online as quickly as possible to ensure that you have them in time for when class begins.
If the information about the book is not located on your college schedule, just take the schedule to the college bookstore, locate the books, and write down as much information possible about the book. Also, any purchased books, remember, DO NOT take off the shrink wrap or the value can decrease by over 75 percent and you will not get your money back. Ensure that you are taking the class; just because you are enrolled does not mean you will keep the class after a week. So do not open the book or take off the shrink wrap until you need it.
Also, when trading the books back in, look online first to sell them back, because college bookstores will not give you nearly enough back compared to what the book is really valued at. There will be a college student taking the class next year who needs that book, and will buy it cheap from you. That also means take care of the book so that you get the highest possible amount for the book when you sell it to someone else.
I hope this was helpful and useful. Good luck in your college textbook search!
