Songs: Separation

by Roger Hatfield

Created on: July 03, 2007

I walk around this empty house, I pace from door to door.
To see if you have changed your mind and come back home once more.
But your not there you never are, I only wish it so.
The house that once was our house, isn't our house any more

Chorus:
It used to be our house, but now it's just mine.
You didn't want to live here, there's something you must find.
So I'm alone in this big house, without my wife and kids.
It used to be our house, such a lonely place it is.

I see the pictures on the wall, you didn't want to take.
There's toys up stairs on the floor, but no kids or noise they make.
You made your mind up that you'd go, no matter what I said.
You didn't love me any more, you needed free from me instead.
