Whirlwind Dreamer
The Whirlwind Dreamer is as confused
and helpless as a deer caught in a swarm
of hornets protecting their nest
from unsuspecting intruders.
The Whirlwind Dreamer is hopelessly in love
with a man, who is inspired only by her

her own sullen attempts of self-worth
and reasoning as to why she stays
in this circle of definite self-destruction.

beats strong with hopes of fending-off
the chaos and self-doubt that process
her like a river flows free.
Then out of the shallow-breath of loneliness,
the Whirlwind Dreamer sees a lone monarch butterfly
float across a mirrored lake. With every flutter and
the reflection of duel beauty, she is given faith.
