wouldn't it be nice
to be a butterfly
to spread bright wings
and fly away
away from sadness
screams and tears
away
to somewhere
where pain is not so hard
and people don't just run away
don't just run away
and leave me all alone
no, no, see if I were a butterfly

I would just spread bright wings
and fly away
to somewhere
and be free.
so, dear butterfly,
spread those bright wings
and fly away
just fly away
and be free.
