Today, A Day Just Like Any Other Day
Minutes melt into each other, blending until they become hours, passing until days fall unnoticed from the calendar and she has no idea if it's Tuesday or Saturday and she doesn't care because one day is just like the next.
On this day she wakes up late and still feels tired so she makes strong coffee and eats a piece of toast and feeds the cats and brushes her teeth and listens to the radio and checks her email and wonder what she is going to do. She goes outside to make a few phone calls while on the porch swing and that's good because the phone call to her mom alone takes an hour. She wanders through her house and she gets the idea to look at a photo album from her youth. It's fun at first but then she sees pictures that remind her of how things used to be so she puts it away and walks back to the kitchen.
