This is what East Coast hip-hop is all about. Nas has reminded me why I've always preferred East Coast to West Coast. It's because I prefer lyrics, messages, and rappers who can just plain rap. To me, that's what true rap is. They don't get caught up in making dance songs with whack rhymes. This album has been criticized by people who say that Nas is only surviving because of his history. Look, if an album is hot, an album is hot. It shouldn't matter who put it out. This album is amazing. The lyrics in his songs are powerful. All the work put towards this album has been worth it. If you're into that more pop than hip-hop sound, then this is not for you. If you like true rap, however, with lyrics that will hit you hard, than this is the perfect album for you. Some songs feature current greats like Will.I.Am Kanye West, The Game, Jay-Z, and Snoop Dogg. Everyone of these tracks is worth buying. The tracks are as follows:
.Money Over B*t
.You Can't Kill Me
.Carry On Tradition
.Where are They Now?
.Hip-Hop is Dead
.Who Killed It?
.Black Republican
.Not Going Back
.Still Dreaming
.Hold Down the Block
.Blunt Ashes
.Let There Be Light
.Play on Playa
.Can't Forget About You
.Hustlers
.Hope (Acapella)
