Oh, absolutely.
Proof:
All presidents have been men. (Maybe Hilary will change that)
Senate - predominantly men.
Leadership positions - predominantly men.
Government positions - predominantly men.
Higher pay for the same job - predominantly men.
Lower prices on buying cars - predominantly men.
Who's selling those cars? - predominantly men.
Lawyers - predominantly men.
Doctors - predominantly men.
Medical research done for helping people with health issues is done - predominantly on men.
That's why we know the symptoms for men in disease so clearly, while for women we only hear that 'the symptoms may be different'. How many know the symptoms of a heart attack? Those are usually the symptoms for men. Women experience the onset of a heart attack differently, but that info is not out there in society they way the 'classic' symptoms are. 'Classic'? So the symptoms for men are 'classic', while the symptoms for women may 'vary'.
Further, in conversations, men will stop listening to women in mid-sentence if another man starts talking. Women are ignored as second class citizens when it comes societal conduct, except when being viewed as objects.
How many times have we heard a bad driver referred to as 'drives like a woman'? Yet statistically it's men who have more accidents.
This list can go on and on, and although there have been strides in equalizing how the sexes are treated in society, there is no denying that society, in this 'man's world' always has and still continues to favor men.
