Poetry: Life

by Nevaeh Cohen

Created on: July 02, 2007

Isn't it strange how sometimes we are the most lonely when we are surrounded by people?
Isn't it strange how sometimes our heads are the loudest when we are in dead silence?
Isn't it strange how sometimes we experience our saddest moments in the midst of happiness and vice versa?
Isn't it strange how in our darkest place we can see the light, and when we are in the light we are still surrounded by darkness?
Isn't it strange how one word can provoke a thousand thoughts?
Isn't it strange how we can hate the ones we love the most?
Isn't it strange how no matter how much we have we still want more?
Isn't it strange how sometimes the people we trust are the people we doubt the most?
Isn't it strange how we treat strangers better than we do those who are close to us?
Isn't it strange how every time you finally take the leap, you fall?
