Poetry: Dark poems

Tell Me, Where Are The Angels?
Tell me, what is it that allows you to breathe, when your lungs are filled with hot air from the lies you tell?

Tell me, what is it that allows your heart to beat after you have broken so many hearts, with words from your red curled tongue that lash out like spiraling whips, tearing the flesh to the bone?

Tell me, how do you sleep at night knowing that you have destroyed other people's lives?

Tell me, do you have no conscious? Or, do you blame the unconscious when your subconscious plans evil while you sleep!

Tell me, how can you live with yourself? When your deceit is so obvious to those who know you!

Tell me, how do you look at yourself in the mirror, and not get sickened from the face inside the mirror?

Tell me, how can you be so brutal to the innocent at heart, and try to crush their dreams before they even have a start to discover who, they are?

Tell me, how can a mother be fooled by a child and not see the evil in his eyes?

Tell me, who is the child that lies in the bed with her muscles in her gut, all in a knot afraid to face the day because she isn't sure which way the punches will come today?

Tell me, will the punches ever stop?

Tell me, where are the angels before it's too late?

Tell me, who, is the little girl standing over the toilet vomiting from all the punches in the gut?

Tell me, why am I lying in a hospital bed away from my home with internal bleeding
from the plot of getting run over by a car?

Tell me, are there angels in my room?

Tell me, am I finally safe?

Tell me, why do you spit on me because I cannot walk and I am made to crawl on the ground?

Tell me, when will I learn to walk again?

Tell me, will I ever be able to run again?

Tell me, what happened to my dreams?

Tell me, are there angels in the house tonight?

Tell me, why do you stick my fingers in hot water while I am asleep and try to make me wet the bed?

Tell me, why do I have a black eye today?

Tell me, where are the angels?

Tell me, why is he allowed to use me as a punching bag?

Tell me, did it hurt when that car rolled over you?

It must be true, what goes around comes around!

Tell me, is there justice in Heaven?
