Death is inescapable in life. As people amongst the living, we see death all around us daily. We watch our televisions and see death. We watch the events in life and death is there. Death does not discriminate based on age, race or creed.
Since the beginning of man, death has always been that luring,unexpected event that cannot be forcaste. I believe that not knowing when one is going do die is equally the source of much fear as death itself.

As a human being i cannot say that it is wrong to fear death. However, as a human being i can say that man should not fear death. I can say this for several reasons. First and foremost, as children God, we are told that to die in this life is to live in the next. God tells us that if we believe in him and his son that we shall live forever.
Secondly, we should not fear death because it has no sting! In reality, death is only a door to another life. Much like being born is a door into this life. Man can compare death as a door into another form of life and existence. Man cannot take this physical earthly body past this earth, he never has and never will. Mans' body will return to the dirt. Death is the time when God calls that person into a new existence. How great is that! God calls you to leave this physical body, with all its ailments and to stand in his presence with a new body.
Lastly, we as humans should not fear death because, when we die, we will see many glorious and fantastic things. God has a kingdom that is beyond words. God said that he will give all his children new bodies of light. Bodies that will never experience death again. There are many angels, spiritual guides and friends that we will see when we die. Many people have experienced this in these so called "near death experiences". How much fear is involved in seeing people who truly truly love you.
So therefore, in conclusion, we should not fear death because it only leads to more life. Look forward to the day of your death with confidence that you will pass through its portals and awaking on the shores of everlasting life.
