Memoirs: Emotional abuse

by Aracelis Ramos

Created on: July 01, 2007   Last Updated: October 31, 2008

The person being abused at first does not even realizes that they are being abused. They blame it on a emotional problem or maybe they were being to selfish without knowing. Before they can take a step back and realize what going on they are already in a trend or pattern that keeps them their. Something in their mind makes them believe that if they hang around longer the situation will get better. The yelling will stop. Maybe it does for a week or two but the abuser will get more aggressive with the words they use and they will find an argument where there is none. Before long they will talk bad not only to you, but about you, and the people you care for and love. It's a form of control in their part. It's almost like getting hit without the bruising. It's a situation that if you find yourself in just get out. Walk away before it does get violent.
