Mexicans, as a whole, gathered one day and conspired to invade the US and overthrow everything "American." That's clearly NOT the case, and to even suggest that Mexicans are trying to invade is almost funny because it's beyond ridiculous. The first thing that people need to rid themselves of is the notion that only Mexicans emigrate to the States and that all Mexicans are illegal; those two ideas are simply not true. I live in an area where a great majority of immigrants are from the European countries of Poland, Russia, Ireland, and Greece; however, those people are hardly ever equated with Mexicans even though they also breaking the law by overstaying the time alloted on their visas. Are they seen and received differently because their skin is usually white and because the Irish speak English? That's the only plausible explanation because every thing else is common between immigrants. The street on which I live has two Irish convenient stores that fly Irish flags, and my town has around seven Irish pubs; evidently the Irish-along with every one else-are trying to invade the US too. Invasion is what the British did when they arrived here a couple hundred years ago and killed the natives and took their land.
Immigrants today are hardly doing anything as atrocious as the first immigrants did; however, they are coming for the same reason: a better life. The majority of people emigrate because in their homeland they are unable to have a stable life in which all their basic needs are met. Immigrants-regardless of origin because the word "Mexican" and the word "illegal" are not interchangeable-are not concerned with invading and overthrowing the US; they merely want freedom and the opportunity to work.
