If you were to speak to someone who has a master degree and someone who has a high school certificate, you may be awed by the difference in the level of insight and understanding of the world and goals of each individual.
So why is there such a significant difference in them? Family values, school influence or too much media? No, it is the amount of books they read, but not just any books, useful ones, insightful some, world related tomes and even the occasional exciting Harry Potter adventures.
Does just reading a particular genre make one smart? Not necessary. Imagine exposing a boy to Playboy magazines from young to adulthood would result in him becoming a criminal, or even a porn star or some other non-average Joe out there.
If one truly desire to be smart and enlightened, one got to read plentifully about the world, historical events, the greatest literature masterpieces or even some scientific journals or in short, everything and anything. Only will then one will be a jack of everything and master of few. So start soaking some subjects that seemed totally irrelevant to you and learn more things.
