I had been at a friends house and she was going in Internet chat rooms and talking to people from the area that we lived in. She got me on there talking to this guy, or I should say typing to this guy, and I asked him if he wanted to talk to me just to let me call him cause I wasn't into this typing to talk to people thing. He gave me his cell number and we talked for a few minutes and then I said I had to go because my friend and I were about to watch a movie. At the time I had an 8 month old son and was completely satisfied with it just being me and my son. We lived with my parents so I had good support and I had a good job so life was content. A couple of weeks later as I cleaned my room I found a wadded up piece of paper with a number and name on it. I went to throw it away and then said to myself, "what the hell, I should just call him." So I did, thinking that he would not have a clue who I was. We talked for hours. Then he actually called me on his break in the morning from work. I worked nights and he worked days so we talked whenever we had the chance, usually after I got home from work at midnight. He wanted to meet me in person! I didn't know about that. You hear so many bad things about people on the Internet and I had a baby. I was scared to meet him. I kept making excuses like my son was sick or my car wasn't working. After a month I finally got a friend to go with me and we made arrangements to meet in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on a very busy road. When we pulled in I drove past and got very nervous cause he was really good looking. I turned around and went back. I got out of the car and walked up to him. We hugged and I suddenly felt safe and content. We have never spent a day apart since that night and after 9 months we were married. He legally adopted my son and we had 2 more sons and in 2 weeks we will have our 6th wedding anniversary.
