A knock at my door wakes me
It could only be you
2 in the morning
Takes me a minute to really come to
But I rush none-the-less
Because with each knock I feel your desire
To enter my sanctuary
This is your escape from the home fires
Here
From you nothing will be asked
But
To you all will be given
My gift is unconditional and unselfishly driven

You cross the threshold and instantly
We simultaneously
Begin to breathe heavily upon sight
You grab me close and hold me tight
And I succumb to your manliness with no fight
For tonight is like any other night
Before
I am the woman who understands
Someone else's man
Where her love ends you crave more
So Ill give you the key to my sacred door
As she spits ignorance of negligence
I give freely of my body without hesitance
And serve your soul with a listening ear
To all the things you needed her to hear

Using his so-called vulnerable state
To cause contention
While his heart still beats where he left it

The place where he lays his head
With a wife for years hes shared his bed
Hard times, births and deaths
Family cookouts and arguments
Of Love
And yes love making
The kind of love that is not hidden
Behind 2am booty calls
But the kind of love hes not ashamed to hold hands with
While walking through malls
I ask you to consider all the nights you've spent
Alone
Waiting for a knock or a call on the phone
When he was home
How did he explain how did he ease the pain?
Did he tell you new lies new deception
Did his attempt to change your view on the truth
Affect your perception
Of reality
Is that why you're so willing to hurt your fellow queens?
To be apart of a fallacy?
