Moment of Truth:

Being aware of your power How far is your reach?

It amazes me the sheer ignorance that we as women (human beings in general) have in regards to the healing, comforting, empowering, encouraging powers that we possess. Even more mind boggling than that, is the idea that there are some of us that ARE aware of these God given gifts yet limit their reach to a very small circle of only family members and friends.

We have all been given a gift (or more than one) from our creator. By taking time to truly understand ourselves through prayer, meditation, and self-evaluation we are able to tap into these jewels and find the powerful purpose we were destined to embrace. However, it does not stop there!

Daily, God places situations, circumstances, and people in our lives that can truly benefit from what He has imparted upon us. It is not coincidence that your co-worker spoke to you about the things that are happening in her life, or that a complete stranger expressed to you in the check out line that shes having a hard time finding a job, and when you gave you daughters friend a ride home from school it was meant for you to hear the hesitation in her voice as you pulled in her drive way and she said 'Oh... Daddy's home'.

My friends all the things that you experience from day to day are simply opportunities! Opportunities for what? Glad you asked! Opportunities to praise God for all He has done for you through your works! The things you bless your family with are expected and that which you invest into your close friends is anticipated and all still within a comfortable reach known as your comfort zone. It is until you begin to extend your reach and bless others with your God given influence that you will truly feel the blessings meant for you!

My gift is the power of words and I choose to use these words to bless women far beyond sight. Although your gift may not be words it may be a listening ear, artwork, dance, a soulful embrace, etc etc etc ...whatever it is it was given to you to SHARE.

Sisters, I ask you two questions today:

Are you aware of your God given powers/gifts?

How far are you willing to extend your reach?
