The basics of nursing procedures

After you having completed your training, you will be ready to start your journey to nobility. You will send resumes to all jobs you seek, until one finally responds. Once, you have landed a job, it is your turn to shine in a humble and friendly way. You will work with an entire healthcare team, in which each member is important. Therefore, in order to complete a full exam on a patient, a nurse will play of major role with each one.

Basically, you will call the patient and introduce yourself, while escorting them to the scales. Once you have their weight written down, you will show them to the exam room. Then, you will assess their vital signs and write down the reason for the visit in a chart. Next, you will write down all medications and discuss the patient's symptoms. So, after you have finished completing their chart, you will give to the doctor or leave it a designated spot. .

Sometimes, the doctor will ask you to help him, throughout the exam or procedures that he needs to be completed. You may be asked to draw blood for test, take a few x-rays, or other test that have been discharge the patient and help them schedule a follow up appointment. Every new patient deserves a compassionate and caring nurse, who knows what they are doing. Since, they are trusting, you enough to put their life and friendship in yours hands.

However, there will be more tasks at the office, once you have finished with your patients. There may be paperwork to finish or a co-worker may need your help. But, if you working in hospital, you will give medicine and frequently check on the patients in their room. Some patients have enjoyed having someone to talk with, so listen while you work. You never know, how much of your friendship will mean to someone, who is enduring a crisis.
