First, let's clarify the definition of adventurous, shall we? Adventurous is defined as "a risky venture" or " an unusual or exciting experience". Basically, each of us, on a personal level, must determine what the activities are that we would consider exciting.

For some, the ultimate adventure might include face to face confrontations with nature's beasts while enduring a steady, week long diet of canned beans. A few might picture a night out on the town with old college buddies the ultimate adventure. Some may envision their perfect adventure as a trip to a major theme park. Others might define the ultimate adventure as simply venturing across the city to a grocery store during rush hour traffic.

Most would agree that, for example, hiking, riding the river rapids, scuba diving, etc., can be really exciting activities that would turn the potentially ordinary vacation into a thrilling adventure.

However, what one may find exciting another may not, for it is up to each of us to define our own ideal of adventure. Virtually any activity can be turned into an adventure. Where one man finds a thrill another finds a yawn.

Search yourself...find what it is that gives you that special thrill, that feeling of excitement and wonder. Take it and run with it! Your adventure can be anything, anywhere you want it to be!
